Ecological Sciences and Engineering Symposium
The Ecological Sciences and Engineering (ESE) Interdisciplinary Graduate Program is having their 18th annual ESE Symposium soon. Every year, FNR/ESE students have been heavily involved in the leadership and organization of the Symposium. This year’s theme is "The Future of WATERS" and the symposium will explore six critical themes around water: Wellbeing, Access, Technology, Ecological Impacts, Resilience, and Sustainability, addressing issues such as water quality, security, policy, and access. Featuring transdisciplinary panel discussions, a keynote dialogue and book signing with New York bookseller Dan Egan, and a poster competition, this two-day event aims to foster open dialogue on the multifaceted challenges facing the water sector and generate innovative solutions and strategies for a sustainable water future. You can find more information about this year’s ESE Symposium here: ESE Symposium - Ecological Sciences and Engineering - Purdue University. Please consider registering a poster for the poster session (due date: Sept. 15). The symposium itself is free of charge and will take place on October 2nd and 3rd. Dan Egan will be the keynote speaker on October 2nd from 6:00 - 9:00pm at Fowler Hall in the Stewart Center (STEW). On October 3rd, there will be a panel from 12:30 - 2:30pm in the Dean's Auditorium and a poster session from 2:30 - 4:30pm at Leopold's Landing in Pfendler Hall (PFEN).
