Research Interests

Aubrey is studying the ecological effectiveness of federal cost-share programs to control invasive forest plants on non-industrial privatized land. He will be studying the native plant diversity, invasive reduction, and the effects of invasive removal on the herbaceous layer. He is co-advised by Drs. Michael Jenkins and Jingjing Liang.

Aubrey grew up in Upstate New York where he gained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Ecology from SUNY Brockport. At Brockport, he was a research aide managing slender false brome (Brachypodium sylvaticum) and researching its effects on woody regeneration in Bergen Swamp New York. Aubrey worked with Western New York Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (WNY PRISM) as an invasive species management assistant. While there he conducted invasive plant surveys and managed invasive species throughout western New York.
