Purdue University receives 2011 Tree Campus USA status
Congratulations to Purdue University, specifically, Tim Detzner, campus arborist and staff for their hard work in maintaining the Tree Campus USA status for Purdue University.  This status recognizes college campuses that manage their trees properly, develops connectivity to preserve and protect the urban forest and provides student learning opportunities relative to forestry efforts.

In addition, the state of Indiana has 67 Tree Cities which includes Lafayette and West Lafayette in the list.  Thank you to our local urban foresters for making our campus and cities greener and healthier for all of us.
