Faculty Adviser - Dr. Zhao Ma

With Dr. Ma, Brooke is working with an interdisciplinary team that includes professors and students from Purdue University, University of Utah, and Brandeis University as well as a local Bolivian NGO, Fundacion Natura, studying conditionality in Payment for Ecosystem Service Contracts in Bolivia.  

Prior to coming to Purdue, Brooke received her  M.S. from the University of Michigan in Environmental Justice and Conservation Ecology and her B.S. from Missouri State University in Wildlife Biology. 

Brooke is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) from Paraguay, where she became more interested in the human dimensions of conservation. Her research interests are in human-environment relationships and in particular our relationships with wildlife and how that relates to conservation.
