Hope Charters is a senior communications professional in Purdue’s Department of Forestry and Natural Resources. As the communications coordinator for the Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant College Program (IISG), she oversees IISG’s communication efforts.

Working with specialists from Purdue FNR and University of Illinois Extension, Hope manages a wide range of projects, including publication products, website and social media management, video production, exhibit development, media relations, and marketing. Through news stories, a podcast, and its website and social channels, IISG provides the latest news about the program, critical Great Lakes issues, and research findings.



Hope holds a master’s degree from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
