Andy is the project coordinator for the Hardwood Ecosystem Experiment (http://HEEForestStudy.org), a 100-year long, fully-replicated landscape level of ecosystem dynamics associated with oak silviculture on Morgan-Monroe and Yellowwood State Forests in southern Indiana.

Andy received his B.S.-Natural Resources in Forest Science at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and his M.S. in Forest Biology from Purdue University. Prior to embarking upon his M.S. at Purdue, Andy worked as a Forestry Specialist in the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources with responsibility for the development and implementation of management objectives for departmental properties. He also assisted in the management of hardwood tree plantations with the Hardwood Tree Improvement and Regeneration Center.
