Stout woods aerial viewSamuel and Stella Stout Memorial Forest

In April 1964, Samuel and Stella Stout gifted this woodland to the Purdue Research Foundation “to use and devote said real estate for forestry and wildlife conservation purposes for as long as it is possible to do so, and for the further education of the public and especially young people, as to forestry and wildlife conservation.”

In July of 2002, this woodland was dedicated as a nature preserve in cooperation with Purdue University, The Division of Nature Preserves, and the Red-tail Conservancy land trust. Take the Stout Memorial Forest Nature Preserve Virtural Trail.
