{"id":2071,"date":"2024-09-13T11:43:49","date_gmt":"2024-09-13T15:43:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ag.purdue.edu\/food-safety-innovation-lab\/?p=2071"},"modified":"2024-09-17T12:11:38","modified_gmt":"2024-09-17T16:11:38","slug":"fsil-awarded-five-year-extension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ag.purdue.edu\/food-safety-innovation-lab\/fsil-awarded-five-year-extension\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Oliver awarded extension for the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Food Safety"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Haley Oliver, professor of food science in Purdue University\u2019s College of Agriculture, has been awarded $10 million in funding from United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for a five-year extension of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Food Safety (FSIL).<\/p>\n<p>Since the lab\u2019s founding in 2019, Oliver \u2014 who also serves as the FSIL director and the university&#8217;s interim vice provost for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars \u2014 and the FSIL management team at Purdue and Cornell universities have guided more than a dozen food safety research projects in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria and Senegal.
