 General Information

Halak earned her B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2017 from B.M.S College of Engineering, India. She was awarded a Lynn Fellowship from Purdue University and graduated with her master’s degree in Food Science in 2020 under the direction of Dr. Dharmendra Mishra. Her master’s thesis focused on improved methods for measurement of food thermal properties, specifically at aseptic processing temperatures. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D under Dr. Carlos Corvalan with a research focus on interfacial dynamics and transport phenomena.
