Through the Department’s successful Alliances campaign, the Department realized just how important our Alumni and Friends are. As public funds have declined over the years, it’s the private support that has launched our Department into the forefront of food science departments. Your continued support is vital to help us reach our vision. Join a winner and support Purdue Food Science!

You may be able to increase your gift’s impact! Many companies match their employee’s gifts to educational institutions. Companies vary to the ratio that they match but some will match 4:1 meaning, for every dollar you gift to Purdue Food Science, your employer might match it with four dollars. Use the Matching Gift website or check with your employer about maximize the impact of your gift through matched giving.

How To Make a Gift

There are a number of ways to make a gift in support of the Department of Food Science. Purdue University can accept donations and pledge payments online, by mail, or by phone.  When using the online form with a credit card, please select the designation area "College of Agriculture and select the fund "Department of Food Science."

Tax Advantages

Gifts to Purdue University are deductible as charitable contributions within the limits of the Internal Revenue Code. Indiana taxpayers are also eligible for a tax credit for gifts to Purdue, directly increasing the amount of your refund or decreasing the amount due. Be sure to use Indiana Schedule CC-40 with your state tax return.​
