Udit Minocha, current Ph.D. student and officer in the National Guard, had his graduate studies interrupted to serve in Kosovo. While in Kosovo between Sept. 2003 and Jan. 2005, CPT Minocha served as the Battalion S2 and later served in a higher capacity as the G2 Planner for Multi-National Brigade (East) (MNB(E)). CPT Minocha was responsible for the development, coordination and refinement of the intelligence portion of all MNB(E) operational plans, contingency plans and operation orders. He consolidated/updated and presented the Intelligence Preparation of the Environment during the mission analysis portions enabling focused Brigade operations. His recommendations to the Priority Intelligence Requirements were sent to the Commanding General of MNB(E). CPT Minocha ensured that the competitor situation templates were current with the changing threats and situations in the theater of activity. He provided the G2 with recommendations, competitor courses of action and intelligence products for review and approval prior to dissemination. He briefed the intelligence portions of orders and plans. CPT Minocha had a high-degree of input of the aspects of all-source intelligence gathering activities that were scheduled. CPT Minocha was involved in planning over 40 missions. Most missions involved multiple nations and agencies.
