Connie earned her B.S. in Food Science from Purdue in 2013 and her M.S.
in Food Science from the University of Idaho in 2015. She joined the Process
Modeling and Validation research laboratory under the direction of Dr. Mishra
in fall 2017 to pursue her second master’s, after working in the food industry
for 2 years in the R&D on improving the shelf stability of food and food
ingredients. Her master’s thesis work focused on application of
temperature-dependent thermal properties in food thermal process simulation and
selection of product formulation. Currently, she is continuing her Ph.D with
Dr. Mishra, developing an innovative technology for shelf life prediction of
food and beverages.
