Advising and Class Registration: Summer/Fall 2014 Registration Checklist 

REMINDER: Please remember to keep current parent, local, and emergency contact information updated in myPurdue.

It is the student’s primary responsibility to have the following completed before you meet with your Academic Advisor. ​
1.  Sign-up for an appointment with your assigned primary faculty advisor.  You may view who your Advisor is in, Banner Self-Serve, Student Records, View Student Information, Term:  Fall 2014. This will display who your advisor will be.  

2.  Check MyPurdue on the Academic Tab under Registration Tools for your Registration Status.  If you find a HOLD, take care of it immediately. You will not be able to register, drop or add classes if you are in HOLD status.

3.  Print and complete an Audit Sheet and Plan of Study.

4.  Complete Pre-Registration Form, and check pre-requisites/restrictions for each class.

If you do not have the required pre-requisites/restrictions for courses outside of the Food Science Department see the instructor for a signature on a form 23. The form should be returned to the main office so that the override can be entered. Form 23’s are available at the front desk in the main office.  For Food Science classes see Dr. Lisa Mauer for a Curriculum Exemption Request Form.

5. Checklist to meet with your Academic Advisor– Bring the following:
    1.  ​Completed Pre-Registration Form (#4)
​    2.  ​Plan of Study Worksheet  (#3)
    3.  ​Bring current Resume (Optional for Freshmen)

Additional Information:

  • Courses will be available on-line March 17, 2014.  View the courses you would like to take for the fall 2014 semester.  Make sure each course is offered at the time that will not conflict with other classes (use the Pre-Registration form in step 4).  Those meeting with advisors before March 17th will have to check their planned courses for time conflicts as soon as possible.
