Jason Carey

Agribusiness Management

Thank you!
I would like to thank donors by thanking them for making my dream of attaining a Purdue degree a reality.  Without there generous donation I may have not been able to afford to come to school here and one day impact the agriculture industry.  Their gifts have allowed me to focus on school and learn to the best of my abilities.  With the skills and information I have learned I will impact the agriculture industry and the world any way I can.  The donors are so generous for thinking about students and helping them to become well educated individuals.

What are your interests/hobbies?
I am very interested in production agriculture and learning anything about it has become a hobby of mine.  I also enjoy hunting, fishing, golf, exercising, playing sports, watching Purdue sports and supporting Purdue agriculture.

What are your plans after college?
After graduation I plan to use my degree to attain a career selling seed, chemicals, or equipment for an agriculture company.  Eventually I want to work my way up in this company to more of a leadership position and become very important to the company and the industry. I plan to also be very involved in my communities 4-H and FFA and to spread the word about agriculture and Purdue whatever way I can.  I would also like to come back to Purdue after about five years and attain my MS-MBA degree in Food and Agribusiness Management.  Eventually my goal is to start my own business by starting up a dealer agency for a seed corporation.  I would also like to run an agro tourism company that allowed people to come out and learn more about agriculture.  I also plan to be able to start a family and provide for them.
