Horticulture Undergraduate Program

Purdue University's Department of Horticulture & Landscape Architecture embodies a diverse range of disciplines and presents award-winning degree programs.  Students prepare for careers ranging from fundamental plant science & research to landscape architecture and environmental planning.  In addition, graduates may work in horticultural plant production and management, all aspects of the landscape industry, or public horticultural education.  With 30 full-time faculty and over 200 undergraduate students, the department is big enough to offer a diverse learning experience, yet small enough so you won’t get “lost in the crowd.”

Students can complete their degrees in one of these horticultural programs of study: Horticultural Production & Marketing, Horticultural Science, Landscape Horticulture & Design, or Public Horticulture.  Or, they may prepare to become a registered Landscape Architect through the Pre-Landscape Architecture track leading to the Landscape Architecture degree program.
