New for Summer 2016!

MAY 16 - AUG 13
International Experience / Agribusiness Internship / Academic Credit

You don't have to choose between working, studying, or going abroad this summer!
A unique hybrid opportunity has been created for Summer 2016. Six to eight passionate and hardworking College of Agriculture students will be chosen to take part in an 8-week paid internship (plus housing) combined with a 4-week unpaid service internship and cultural experience to Laos. Dr. Alan Mathew, Department Head of Animal Science, will work with those students interested in taking an independent study option while abroad. Don't miss out on this opportunity to intern for:

Send a cover letter, resume, and completed internship form to:

Students must be willing to take part in the Laos portion of the experience to be considered for one of these internships. Please note that while much of the costs associated with the Laos experience will be covered, participants are responsible for some costs (i.e. airfare, immunizations, passport).

Not sure about traveling Laos? Or even unsure of where it is? You'll be happy to know that the European Council on Tourism and Trade named Laos the World's Best Tourism Destination in 2013. Get excited about the cultural experience that awaits you in Laos by checking out The Lonely Planet's online resource.

There are more ways to have rich international experiences in addtion to taking part in faculty-led programs and semester exchanges.

When returning from a study abroad program, most students have the desire to travel abroad as much as possible. Students can study abroad again or work, intern or volunteer abroad. Search the internet as there are endless possibilities or stop by the International Programs in Agriculture office, Rm 26 AGAD for ideas and guidance. Only a few opportunities are listed below.
