Pearson earns Entomological Foundation’s top honor

Gwen Pearson, outreach coordinator in Purdue University’s Department of Entomology, has received the 2016 Entomological Foundation Medal of Honor.

The award is in recognition of her education and outreach contributions, particularly as a leader in digital outreach through social media, to both traditional and non-traditional audiences. It is the highest honor bestowed by the foundation, given only to those who have attained preeminence in the field.

Pearson will be formally recognized at the 2016 International Congress of Entomology meeting in Orlando, Florida, in September.
