Since 2014, investment in the plant sciences helped establish Purdue as a global leader in developing and delivering innovation, technology, and human capacity to sustainably produce food, fuel, and fiber. Purdue Moves brought together over 100 scientists across five colleges to establish flagship research and teaching programs in basic plant sciences, plant phenomics, digital agriculture and big data. Along the way we established a reputation for world-class plant sciences and data analytics research.

We published our last plant sciences newsletter on March 10, just days before … well, you know. I’m pleased to report that our dedicated faculty members and researchers in the plant sciences worked effectively through the spring and are back to near-normal productivity under strict safety guidelines.
