Agriculture has always played a big role in my life. Both of my grandfathers are farmers, and I grew up idolizing their handiwork. I was amazed that they helped feed the world. From the day of my first tractor ride, I knew I wanted to make a difference and work in the agriculture industry, just like them.

Purdue Agriculture is a tradition in my family. I was lucky enough to have three role models to show me what it means to be a Boilermaker. My mom and dad both graduated with agriculture degrees in the ’80s, and my sister graduated in 2016. All of our Purdue experiences are different, but one thing they have in common is the support of the people in the College of Agriculture.

The College of Agriculture is the ultimate support system and provides its students with endless opportunities. They host two annual career fairs with hundreds of potential employers and offer scholarships from many generous donors. Every advisor and faculty member is always willing to offer their friendly advice. They have truly made my time at Purdue an unforgettable experience.

Destination Purdue is just a glimpse into the lives of the students who make the College of Agriculture a unique community. I hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as we did writing them.
