Graduate Student Profile
Zachary is a doctoral student and has more than five years of professional experience working to address diversity, equity, and inclusion issues in higher education. 

Zac’s expertise lies explicitly in solving problems that occur within agricultural spaces. He is actively engaged in research that spans the topics of student college choice and transition, mentorship of women and underrepresented minority students in agriculture, HBCU presidential leadership, culturally relevant pedagogy in STEM-AFNR, and ethnic minority faculty experiences in colleges of agriculture. Zac also has experience coordinating academic conferences, research symposiums, and summer programs designed for women and underrepresented minorities in STEM-AFNR. He currently serves as Program Coordinator for the Mentoring@Purdue (M@P) Summer Scholars Program and as National Graduate Student President of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS).
