Yujie’s research interests are studying how a supportive and positive teacher-student relationship can promote study for underrepresented minority students in agricultural STEM disciplines. Specifically, she is interested in how faculty promote instrumental and psychosocial support using cultural relevant teaching in undergraduate agricultural STEM courses. She is particularly interested in identifying inclusive influences from supportive mentoring/teacher-student relationships within context of agricultural STEM disciplines.
