Graduate Student Profile
Krystin Bodden is a pre-doctoral Master’s student studying Agricultural and Extension Education. She is from Humble, Texas and joined YDAE in the Fall of 2012, upon completion of her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Sam Houston State University. She is interested in studying mentoring in the context of agriculture as a means to develop human capital for STEAM careers. She is currently working with Drs. Esters and Knobloch on a USDA NIFA grant to develop human capacity through mentoring of women and underrepresented minority graduate students in agricultural and life sciences. Upon completion of her Master’s and Doctoral degrees, Krystin plans to be an assistant professor.
