Area of Expertise: Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition

Dr. Jim Camberato is an Extension soil fertility specialist at Purdue. In general my research and Extension programs center on soil fertility, fertilizers, and plant nutrition. Specific emphasis has been on determining appropriate rates of N fertilization for corn and evaluating tools for fine-tuning N recommendations.

Outreach programs on the fertilization of agronomic crops in Indiana.

Research Areas

Determine the impact of soil and applied essential plant nutrients on crop productivity and profitability.
