Plant and Pest Diagnostic Laboratory
The Purdue University Plant and Pest Diagnostic Laboratory works to diagnose plant diseases and identify insects, plants and weeds and other plant and pest problems. This service is provided for the specialists and county extension educators of the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service and Purdue University's research faculty, staff, and students as well as for private businesses and citizens of Indiana.
PARKING: A reserved metered parking space is available at the west entrance to the LSPS Plant and Soils Building. If you encounter any problems with parking, please call Todd Abrahamson at 765-494-7071.
The PPDL is OPEN. Our building is now open but the lab door will remained locked. Masks are required in all Purdue buildings. If you drop off a sample please leave it on the table outside of our office. We will pick up the samples throughout the day. Please also consider sending photos using our
upload forms. We are unable to accept in-person payments at this time.
Purdue University and our lab will be closed November 26-27 and December 19 through January 3. Campus mail will not be delivered during that time. All end-of-year samples must be received by December 16 to allow time for diagnosis and reporting before the winter recess.
