The View Ahead – Spring 2017

Glenn W. Sample Dean Jay Akridge

In this issue of Envision, you will find news and features about a wide range of topics, from help for farmers in the current economic downturn to research on fungi in Guyana. You will also meet some of our alumni and learn how they are using their Purdue Agriculture education to make a difference in land management practices in large, complex watersheds.

As we developed Envision, our alumni and friends were instrumental in providing feedback to us not only on the types of stories that interest them, but also on features that would be helpful to them. As a result, you will read in every Envision feature story a sidebar providing a summation of the story’s most important points. We hope you will use these takeaways to help inform your conversations with friends, colleagues, and prospective students.

Thank you for helping us bring Envision to life. We hope you enjoy this fresh, new look at what we do in the College. Let us know what you think—we value your opinion!
