What makes a species invasive?
HOW do we know when a non-native species has established itself? When it becomes a reproducing population.

When it causes harm to any of these areas:
a) THE ENVIRONMENT
The emerald ash borer feeds on ash trees, causing enough damage to kill them.
b) THE ECONOMY
Invasive weeds and insects reduce crop yields and crowd out native plants in forests.
c) HUMAN HEALTH
Jumping invasive carp can damage boats and harm passengers.
