Outdoor Recreation Data Dashboard now encompasses all four U.S. regions
February 26, 2026
The University of Minnesota Tourism Center created the interactive Outdoor Recreation Data Dashboard that summarizes and compares data from the outdoor recreation questions asked on the Regional Rural Development Centers' (RRDC) Baseline Survey 2024.
As a result of an innovative data initiative that began in the fall of 2024, the RRDC published the open access data from their multi-region Baseline Survey 2024. Once the fourth and last dataset was released in December 2025, the Tourism Center updated their data dashboard making it a comprehensive national data set. Be sure to check out the dashboard for a rare opportunity to compare regional- and state-level household data!
