Anna Phillips, Introduction

I am a junior in crop science here at Purdue with hopes of continuing my education into graduate school. In my free time I enjoy baking, hiking, playing with my dog, and drinking milk. I transferred to Purdue as a junior after earning my associate degree at Vincennes University. As someone who transferred from a small college to Purdue, I was nervous it would be hard to make myself at home here. I am happy to report that it was incredibly easy to make friends and find community here in the agronomy department. My biggest piece of advice to new freshman or other transfer students would be to get involved. I joined agronomy club, and both the crops and soils teams my first semester and was able to develop amazing friendships I am happy to continue to cultivate even after college. I am excited to be an ambassador not only to share my passion for agronomy but to help other students continue to find theirs as well!
