Reviewing my last summer break

This summer, I had an internship with Corteva Agriscience as a production agronomy intern for Pioneer. I’ve had internships each summer of college and I’ve been able to learn a lot from each. This summer, I really wanted to focus on career outlook and opportunities I could have further down the road. I spent the summer working with seed corn production and learning lots about the seed industry. I was able to do multiple job shadows as well throughout the summer by reaching out to other professionals within the company. I had a great time this summer and I was given the opportunity to interview for their “Seed Operations Development Program” as a production agronomist. In early August, I was given an offer to join full time into the program and I chose to accept it. Once I graduate, I’ll be moving to Iowa to start that chapter. Until then, I’ll just try to soak up my last year here at Purdue.
