Summer in Europe

This summer, I had the unique opportunity to travel to Europe. While in Europe, I spent six weeks in Greece on a study abroad through Perrotis College with the American Farm School. My program specialized in the Greek wine business, which allowed me to explore the wine market in Greece and around the world. I also traveled to six different wineries throughout Greece to learn about the various ways they adapt to the climate and market. In Greece, I also did a 4-day sailing trip, climbed to the alpine zone of Mt. Olympus, and explored Athens and Thessaloniki. The last two weeks of my Europe trip were spent in the UK and Ireland. In England, I participated in a cheese crawl, which was quite tasty. In Scotland, I got to see the Highlands (the mountains and the cows), hear multiple bagpipes, and go to Loch Ness (I did indeed see Nessie). Finally, we were in Ireland, where we did lots of hiking, saw a sheep dog demonstration, and stood on the Cliffs of Mor. My trip was truly one of a lifetime, and I loved every moment of it and would do it all again!
