Summer Internship

This summer I had the opportunity to apply to work with Beck’s Hybrids as a Corn Breeding Intern. This was a unique opportunity to take what I’ve been learning in my classes to a real-world, hands-on setting. I was able to follow the corn breeding pipeline from planting to pollination, giving myself a deeper understanding of what goes into hybrid corn development. Working alongside passionate professionals, I gained valuable insight into the innovation in agriculture, and this experience has inspired me to pursue continue my studies and a career in plant breeding.
