Alan Mathew, Head of Purdue's Department of Animal Sciences, said: "I am especially proud that the Indiana livestock commodity groups and other industry partners stepped up to help fund our building. This tells me our ANSC programs are valued by those stakeholders, and they see even greater outcomes for us in the new buildings."
Dr. Mathew said: "These two new facilities will greatly add to an investment in the future of Purdue students to better prepare them for careers in agriculture and the biosciences. The state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms will foster innovations that will significantly advance our programs that directly serve Indiana stakeholders and the animal industries nationally and globally."

Professor of Animals Sciences and liaison for this building project, Dr. Terry Stewart said: "The most exciting thing about the new building is that for the first time, all of Animal Sciences Faculty and campus staff will be in one building. Faculty, staff and most importantly, students, will have a campus home."
