I am an entrepreneurial professor and plant breeder specializing in UAS, nutritional quality, quantitative genetics, and the soybean value chain. I develop new tools for crop research professionals. I have extensive experience in multi-state research coordination, I advocate and advise for crop genetics adn ag research nationally, and I have multiple recognitions for excellence and leadership at Purdue:
- Appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture: Member of National Genetic Resources Advisory Council (NGRAC), since 2019
- Member of the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) Next Generation Crops Scientific Advisory Council, since 2022
- Member of the American Seed Trade Association CSS Planning Committee, since 2014
- Named a Purdue University Faculty Scholar, 2020
- Appointed Purdue University Innovation & Entrepreneurship Ambassador, since 2021
- Director of the Purdue Soybean Center, since 2018
