Student Laborer Job Description
The Purdue Feed Mill Research and Education Center is seeking qualified students to fill a part-time position. Our goal is to provide quality research while offering educational opportunities to students who have a sincere interest in the feed mixing aspect of agriculture. Applicants should be dependable, conscientious, and self-motivated with a desire to learn and take on responsibility. Good communication skills are a must. Previous farm equipment experience is preferred, but not required. Applicants should have a block of time available from 3 to 8 hours and expect to work some Saturday mornings.
Daily Job Tasks include:
Performing a variety of duties involved in the processing, mixing, and bagging of feed, materials handling, inventory, cleaning, and maintenance of facilities. Some heavy lifting (50 pound bags and pails) is necessary.
