Request a Loan from the PERC

Scientists are welcome to borrow specimens in support of their research. Loans to graduate students are made in care of their major professor/advisor. Loans from the general collection are for one year, but may be renewed for additional one-year periods. Although it is preferred that type specimens be examined through photographs or on site, types may be loaned under special circumstances for a period of six months. All identified material must be returned to the PERC unless otherwise specified. Upon request, up to one-third of an unidentified series may be retained where non-historic duplicates of a single population are available. Donations of specimens to the collection are always welcome!
