The CFDAS at Purdue tracks consumer insights and the economics of the food system to produce timely reports on trends and emerging topics. The center brings data about consumers to farmers and information about farms to consumers.

Using our experience in data engineering, management and analytics, ADS support the CFDAS across key data initiatives:

Strategy

• On top of the technical component, we helped to see the big picture by taking a high-level view of the center needs, opportunities, and data assets.
• We built a long-term plan that defines the technology, processes, resources, and frameworks required to manage CFDAS information assets

Data Engineering

• We allowed the center to overcome their information gaps by providing the appropriate infrastructure and tools to access, process, and analyze data.
• We helped to automate the centre’s processes; this automation increases time  to analyze data and discover new research opportunities. 
• We designed and deployed a data warehouse to store and integrate food-economics related data that can be retrieved and analyzed to provide useful insight into the center’s operation.
