Apply a Template
After opening the page for editing in Beaver Builder, select this template "Single Column Page" or any other template to get started. These sections are available to you by hitting the "+" icon in the top-right of the page (visible once you are logged in and editing). If you don't see this button, make sure that you are editing in Beaver Builder (click the Beaver Builder link when editing the page as usual).
Simply click into a section to open the Editor for it. This, for example, is a Text Editor section. You may type freely into it directly, or use the Text Editor window that pops up to edit General properties such as font styling, and Advanced properties like margins, display behavior on mobile devices, and even Animation effects.
Try dragging a brand new module or row from the Beaver Builder menu (accessed by clicking the "+" icon) into your page to get started.

Explore the toolkit sections available to you to build your page from scratch:
- Modules: This tab includes both generic and Purdue branded content widgets, including the ability to add photos and galleries, videos, buttons, audio, callouts, maps, and much more.
- In the “Group” dropdown within this tab, you can choose from Standard Modules, WordPress Widgets, and Saved Modules (which include the Purdue branded modules you imported earlier).
- Rows: This tab includes page layout options, organizing your page into editable columns of varying shapes and sizes.
- In the “Group” dropdown within this tab, you can choose from Columns, Saved Columns, and Saved Rows (which include the Purdue branded sections you imported earlier).
- Templates: This tab includes prepopulated page themes to get you started quickly with placeholder content and images.
- In the “Group” dropdown within this tab, you can choose from Landing Pages, Content Pages, and Saved Templates (which include the Purdue branded themes you imported earlier).
- To select a template, just click on its name from the list. The option to either “Replace Existing Layout” or “Append New Layout” will allow you to either replace all content on your page or add the template to the end of the current page, respectively.
- Explore the Saved Templates section under the “Group” dropdown for content that follow the College of Ag’s standards and best practices:
- The “Full-Width Page” page template is a very good starting point for many Lab Site pages.
- The “Directory” template is great for employee photos and contact information.
- Saved: This tab includes all the Purdue CoA-specific modules and rows available to choose from that you already saw in the other tabs. It does not, however, include the full-page Templates seen in the Templates tab.
