Shelby Gillis

Shelby Gillis is a M.S. student under the advisement of Dr. Bryan Young. She is from Eaton, Indiana and earned her B.S. in Plant Genetics, Breeding, and Biotechnology from Purdue University in 2026. Her research focuses on herbicide resistance, and she is developing a leaf disc assay to help determine resistance in waterhemp.
