Lab Manager

Pat Jaynes is a laboratory technician at Purdue University. Born in Lafayette, Indiana, Jaynes received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Purdue in 1986. She earned a master’s degree in early childhood education in 1995. In 2000, she accepted her current position in animal sciences as lab manager of a monogastric nutrition lab with Todd Applegate, Ph.D., and Layi Adeola, Ph.D. Previously, she worked with Bill Muir, Ph.D., and John Patterson, Ph.D., both in animal sciences.

One of Jaynes’ greatest rewards in research is sharing the joys and tribulations of research with graduate and undergraduate students. She hopes to be a valuable resource in students’ academic careers.

Jaynes and her husband, Blair, have one daughter, Madison.
