Awards for 2025 Summer Test
The following awards were presented at the 2025 Summer Test bull sale on October 18, 2025. The award-winning bulls are also listed in the IBEP Hall of Fame, and all were eligible for sale. Awards were presented by Andrew Stewart, President of IBEP.
Three awards were presented to Snider-Clayton Farm, Goshen, IN. The award for Top Performance Index Get-of-Sire was for Angus bulls #47, 48, and 49. They had an average Performance Index of 108.6. They were sired by 44 Good News 1130 and sold for an average of $6,750. Two individual awards were presented for bulls in this get. The Top Sale Index Senior Bull was #49. His Sale Index was 78.0 and he sold for $6,750. The Top Carcass Merit Senior Bull was #47. He had a Carcass Merit Index of 108.65 and sold for $7,500.
The award for Top Performance Index Junior Bull was presented to Allen Farm, Buncombe, IL. SimAngus #70 had a Performance Index of 115.65. He was sired by Absolute Judge J190 and sold for $5,000.
The award for Top Carcass Merit Junior Bull was presented to Small Cattle Farms, West Lafayette, IN. Angus #41 had a Carcass Merit Index of 121.24. He was sired by SCF Top Cut 2228 and sold for $6,000.
Owners of two other award-winning bulls were not available to receive their awards at te sale.
The award for Top Sale Index Bull (Junior Division and Overall) went to Wirth Farms, Batesville, IN. Angus #31 had a Sale Index of 84.25. He was sired by BAR Dynamic and sold for $8,000.
The award for Top Performance Index Senior Bull went to Neal Brothers Simmentals, Bicknell, IN. SimAngus #25 had a Performance Index of 121.97. He was sired by WBF Iron Clad E053 and sold for $6,000.
