EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION (FORM I‑9)

The Employment Center completes Section 2 of Form I‑9 for new employees and reverification for current employees when required. To meet the needs of employees, these services are available in both in-person and virtual formats. Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday. Please note that the center is closed on University holidays.

Important Information for Employees

  • Employees must be physically present in the United States at the time of their appointment, whether attending in-person or virtually.
  • Employees are required to present original, unexpired work authorization documents and must have them physically in their possession at the time of their appointment, regardless of whether they are attending in person or virtually.
  • Photographs, scans, printed copies, or screenshots of documents cannot be accepted.
  • For a complete list of acceptable documents, please refer to the Form I-9 Acceptable Documents list maintained by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

 

Scheduling your Appointment

We offer multiple meeting options to accommodate your preferred format.

Important: To view available dates and times, you must first select a service offering (New Hire I-9 Verification or Current Employee Reverification) on the Bookings calendar.

  • You must be physically located in the U.S. at the time of your appointment.
  • Virtual reverification appointments are available only for employees hired after December 23, 2018.

For your appointment, you must:

  • Have your original, unexpired documents with you.
  • Be on camera during the appointment.
  • Hold your documents up to the camera for review.

You must show your own documents. Another person cannot join the meeting to present your documents for you.

You may schedule an appointment at either in-person location, regardless of your college or department. Choose the location that is most convenient for you.
