Genetics Lab
The Genetics Lab is comprised of four research groups studying various genetic aspects of a variety of species, including salmon, golden eagle, gray whale, amphibians, and black walnut trees. This lab, one of the largest labs on campus, enables researchers in related fields to share equipment, minimize costs, and maximize the available space. In addition to the four faculty members in this lab, there are an additional 24 attached researchers working in the lab, including undergraduate volunteer, graduate students, post-graduates, senior research scientists, or visiting scientists.
Areas of specialization include: wildlife genetics, conservation genetics, population genetics, forest genetics, ecological genetics and toxicogenomics.
