Extension Master Gardeners

The Purdue Extension Master Gardener Program trains gardening enthusiasts as volunteers to assist Purdue Extension with home horticulture education in Indiana communities. Purdue Extension Master Gardeners are "Helping Others Grow!"

This program focuses on enhancing productivity, sustainability, and profitability in large and small-scale vegetable and melon farming through research, education, and outreach.

The Fruit Crops Extension Program provides science-based resources and support to Indiana fruit crop growers. This program focuses on enhancing productivity, sustainability, and profitability for large and small-scale fruit crop growers through research, education, and outreach.

Mint

Indiana is one of the nation's leading producers of mint oil. Our Extension programming supports local mint farmers through cutting-edge research, educational resources, and community outreach—advancing sustainable practices and strengthening the mint industry across the state.

Turfgrass

A healthy lawn offers real benefits—from a safe place for kids and pets to play, to cooling your yard and filtering rainwater. The key is using the right care at the right time. The Purdue Turf Program helps homeowners and professionals alike maintain great-looking turfgrasses while using less water, fertilizer, and pesticides. We research which grass types work best in our climate, when to fertilize and mow for the healthiest results, and how to spot and solve problems before they get out of hand.
