Summer Internship

The ASPIRE (Ag Summer Product Innovation Realization and Entrepreneurship)internship program is a summer experience for undergraduate students at Purdue who have successfully completed the Student Soybean Innovation Competition and wish to move their soy-based product toward commercialization.

Funded by the Purdue Institute for Plant Sciences, ASPIRE students work closely with Purdue Foundry in research and customer delivery activities on campus for 11 weeks during the summer.

The internship will:

  • Expose students to cutting-edge research and entrepreneurship by providing additional development opportunities.
  • Develop knowledge of research and marketing tools used by professional researchers and marketing experts.
  • Increase proficiency in technical communication, customer delivery, and entrepreneurship.
  • Help connect students' summer experience with future goals, with particular focus on agricultural areas in research, customer discovery, and entrepreneurship.

The ASPIRE internship does more than push products toward commercialization. The program equips students with invaluable skills that can be translated into any future occupation. Students or faculty who are interested in getting involved with the Soybean Innovation Competition or ASPIRE should contact program manager Micky Creech with any questions.
