Activity in the Institute for Plant Sciences ranges widely, from training undergraduate students in research, to professional development of graduate students across the college and campus, to exploring ways to push innovation in controlled environments to the field, and vice versa.
Graduate training in plant sciences
Many graduate students train in basic plant sciences and are trained by faculty mentors in the Center for Plant Biology (CPB). Graduates can also earn degrees directly through College of Agriculture departmental programs. The Center for Plant Biology offers an innovative curriculum and diverse research opportunities with faculty mentors representing seven academic departments and two colleges.
