Emma Lagerhausen

Emma Lagerhausen is a Master’s student under Dr. Bryan Young. She grew up on a family farm in Shumway, IL, and received her B.S. in Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science from Southern Illinois University in 2023. Emma’s research focuses on the metabolic interactions between salicylic acid, a plant stress hormone, and synthetic auxin herbicides. She will be conducting greenhouse studies to determine how different rates, timings, and tank mixes with salicylic acid can influence the crop safety and weed activity of synthetic auxin herbicides.
