Purdue's recently created Honors College will begin to admit first year students in fall 2013.
There are currently three other opportunites for an honors program for new incoming, current, and transfer undergraduate students.
New incoming undergraduate students may be invited to Purdue's University Honors Program (UHP). To learn more about the selection criteria, admission to Purdue University deadline, and more, please visit Purdue's Honors College website.
New incoming undergraduate students admitted into Food Science through the Department of Food Science may be invited to participate in the College of Agriculture Dean's Scholars Program. Students may also enter later if they meet the criteria for credits (at least 60 remaining credits), GPA (at least 3.5), and submit an application. Any current undergraduate student who is majoring in Food Science through the Department of Food Science, may choose to apply to the College of Agriculture Food Science Honors Program after the student has completed a minimum of 32 semester credits and has attained a minimum graduation index of 3.25 at the time of admission into the College of Agriculture Honors Program. Transfer students must complete a minimum of 16 of those 32 semester credits at Purdue University before applying for admission to the College of Agricultue Honors Program.
