The Department of Food Science was built around the idea that we have two customers; students, and the industry we serve. We have personnel on staff specifically to assist companies.
Laurie Swift, our Administrative Director, is here to answer your questions and ensure a "win-win" relationship with our department. For the company that is interested in collaborating with the Department at "a higher level", we have our Industrial Associates, a 20+ year program that helps us better our program by staying in touch with our industry partners.
If you have hiring needs, Gwen Shoemaker, our Placement Coordinator, has a proven track record. Purdue Food Science is proud to say we continue to have 100% placement of our graduates. She will work with you on filling full-time and internship opportunities.
