The Department of Biochemistry is a vibrant educational and research community engaged in multi-disciplinary, basic research in the biomedical and plant sciences. Our mission is to provide an environment that fosters creative and critical thinking and nurtures a passion for the life sciences.

Majors Offered:

  • Biochemistry - Biochemistry is the study of the chemistry of the living world. Biochemists study organisms at the molecular level in order to understand how they carry out life processes.
