Hunter Medenwald

Hunter Medenwald is an M.S. student under Dr. Bryan Young.  He is originally from a farm in northeastern South Dakota and received his B.S. in Crop and Weed Sciences with an emphasis in Agronomy from North Dakota State University.  His research focuses on the effectiveness and utility of agricultural spray drones for effective weed management.  Field trials are being conducted to improve our understanding of the variables influencing spray deposition and uniformity.  In addition, the effects of various herbicides, nozzles, and adjuvants at several carrier volumes are being evaluated for weed efficacy.  Hunter’s anticipated graduation date is Spring 2025, in which he plans to pursue a career in product development as a field biologist or technical service representative.
